What is Laser Therapy?

Laser therapy (also known as photobiomodulation) uses low-level light to gently stimulate the body's natural healing processes. There's no heat, no discomfort — just a proven way to reduce inflammation, ease pain and support tissue repair at the cellular level. By promoting cell regeneration, reducing inflammation, and increasing blood flow to the affected area this can help alleviate pain, reduce swelling, and speed up the healing process for a variety of conditions, including arthritis, joint pain, muscle strains, and more.

What does laser therapy help with?

Clients use laser therapy to support recovery and long-term management of conditions including: Arthritis and joint stiffness, Tendon and ligament injuries, Muscle strain or trauma, Chronic pain and inflammation, Laminitis, navicular, or SI pain, Hip dysplasia, Post-surgical healing, Skin wounds, abscesses, or hematomas. It's particularly effective when combined with veterinary care or physiotherapy

What can it do for humans?

Tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, meniscus tear? Too many wrinkles? Thinning hair? Pesky backache that just won't go? These are just a small selection of the things the laser can help you with.

What do I need to before an animal treatment?

I can not treat your horse or dog without prior vets permission. Most vets are more than willing to approve laser treatment, so a simple email/message from them confirming treatment should be easy to obtain. Laser treatment is usually covered by insurance too. Talk to your provider.

Will I feel anything?

There's no pain. Most animals, including human relax. Sometimes it can feel warm but not unpleasant. Some dogs even doze off. It's calm, quiet, and entirely stress-free.

How many sessions are needed?

That depends on the condition and the response. Some cases see a noticeable improvement after one or two sessions; others benefit from a course over several weeks. We'll discuss a tailored plan at the first consultation as everybody's body responds differently.

Can I combine with other medications or treatments?

Yes, absolutely. This therapy works alongside most treatments. We'll always liaise with where needed and never treat without your full consent. It is advisable to wait a few weeks after a steroid injection and I can not laser over a tattoo but can laser over metal.

I will go over everything before a first treatment.

Where are treatments carried out?

For dogs and humans, we offer home visits or treatment in our private clinic space. For horses, we come to your yard. I regularly work across Seer Green, Beaconsfield, Marlow, Maidenhead, Uxbridge and nearby villages.
